JuiceWRLD is being honored by his loved ones on the 2nd anniversary of his death due to an overdose that killed him..
The mother of the late rapper, Carmela Wallace wrote a touching note to her son, on the Tuesdaywhich was it’s 23rd juice wrld birthday.
“When you were born 23 years ago, I never expected that you would not be here today celebrating your birthday,” Wallace wrote, per Complex.
“Although it has been nearly two years since you’ve been gone, I still think about you every day and losing you has changed my life forever,” she added. “I’m glad that we always made sure that we said goodbye when we left each other because we didn’t know when we would see each other again.”
“I would have tried to get as many birthday wishes in as possible like I always did on your birthday when we were together,” Wallace was the person who established the Live Free Foundation in the memory of her son, wrote.
“I promise to continue your message of healing and use Live Free 999 as an avenue to normalize the conversation around mental health and substance dependency and help those who suffer in silence,” she said in her emotional message.
According on the website of Live Free, 999’s purpose “is to support programs that provide preventative measures and positive avenues” for those struggling with mental health or drug addiction issues.
“Righteous” rapper died on the 8th of December. 8th on the 8th of December, 2019. The next months, Juice WRLD’s cause of death was determined as the result of an accidently overdose of Oxycodone as well as codeine.
The rapper, who was born Jarad Anthony Higgins regularly included lyrics about addiction in his songs, a decision his mother explained to him was to to help those struggling with addiction to know that they’re not alone..
The week following, Juice WRLD’s second posthumous Juice album Fighting Demons is scheduled to release, and will include the single ” Wandered to LA” featuring Justin Bieber coming on Friday.
Alongside the Combat Demons video for the album posted on YouTube this month, Carmela and record label Grade A described the singer by calling him “searingly honest about his struggles and through his musical genius he articulated what was on his heart and mind vividly through his art.”
“He never gave up and had many loved ones and friends around him who never gave up on offering their support to him. Today we announce that we will commemorate upcoming juice wrld birthday with a new album ‘Fighting Demons’ on Dec 10th.”
